Your pet records are personal.
Effective September 9, 2026
This notice explains what Scruffnote collects, why it is used, and the controls available to you.
Information we collect
We collect the email address and login information needed to operate your account. You may add owner contact details, pet profiles, documents, photos, vaccination dates, medications, care instructions, contacts, and insurance information.
How we use it
We use this information to save and display your wallet, organize records, calculate in-app reminders, prepare downloads you request, protect the service, troubleshoot problems, respond to support requests, and improve Scruffnote.
Storage and service providers
Account data and private files are stored using Supabase. Hosting and other service providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver Scruffnote. We do not sell pet records or use uploaded documents for advertising.
Sharing
Scruffnote does not make your wallet public. Information leaves the service when you choose to download, export, or send it. Anyone receiving a downloaded copy can keep it, so review a care packet before sending it.
Retention and deletion
Records remain until you remove them or delete your account. Account deletion is designed to permanently remove the account and its cloud files. A copy you previously downloaded is not erased from your device or from someone you sent it to.
Security
We use account authentication, private file storage, file validation, and server-enforced access rules. No internet service can promise perfect security. Keep your login private and report anything unexpected.
Your choices
You can update your account email or password, download a backup, and delete your account from Settings. Scruffnote is intended for adults managing their pets’ information.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, sign in and send a message from Backup & help. If you cannot access your account, visit the support page.
